Inspiration For the Ovie Brume Foundation

Oviehire Adeyemi Kesiena Brume was born on the July 21, 1973 to Fred Brume and Evelyn Oputu, the only son among four children. Ovie, also known as ‘sunshine’ to his parents, was a high achiever who excelled both academically and in sporting activities. He passed away unexpectedly on December 11, 2002, aged 29 Years.

He studied both in Nigeria and abroad. His primary and secondary education was completed at Corona School, Victoria Island, Lagos and Fettes College, Edinburgh, Scotland. While at Fettes, he not only met all academic challenges set before him, he was also an outstanding athlete, setting seven school records, witch stand to this day.

OUR MISSION

The mission of the Ovie Brume Foundation is to establish, support and promote institutions that serve as catalysts for the accelerating development of the nation by helping to realize the vision for a Nigerian society where

  • Nigerian youths are encouraged to develop themselves and supported in their self development and societal endeavours;
  • Promising young Nigerian adults who are principled and demonstrate creativity initiative and an aptitude for hard work, are groomed for leadership and supported and encouraged to reach higher levels of achievements;
  • Entrepreneurs are provided with access to resources to facilitate the establishment of organizations that create value in the business environment;
  • And, all who seek to improve themselves and society are given access to available information that aid accomplishing their goals.
