As part of the Book on Wheels Activities which is aimed at improving reading and comprehension abilities of students in Lagos State, Ovie Brume Foundation partnered with Ouida Books in organising a Book Tour. The Book Tour featured Children’s book author, Ayo Oyeku who took his recently published book titled Mafoya and the Finish Line to 4 schools in Lagos. The Ovie Brume Foundation team, Ouida Books and Ayo Oyeku visited Okun Ajah Primary school and Islamiyat Jamatul Primary School On May 16th and 17th respectively for the 1st phase of the Book Tour.
The Second phase of the Book Tour which took place on on June 13th and 14th took Ayo Oyeku, Ouida Books and the Ovie Brume Foundation team to Jinadu Anglican Primary School and Dodan Barracks Primary Schools.
During both legs of the Book Tour, Ayo Oyeku read his Book “Mafoya and the Finish Line” to pupils of both schools, the pupils were excited to read and ask questions about the story of the young girl. Ovie Brume Foundation also donated books to Jinadu Anglican Primary School and Dodan Barracks Primary Schools during the 2nd phase of the Book Tour. This is in line with the objectives of the “Book on Wheels” project.
