The year started on a good note as international recording artist, Vanessa Mdee visited the Ovie Brume Foundation. Vanessa shared life lessons with the Youth Centre members who were inspired and motivated by her story. The Foundation commemorated the 2018 World Cancer Day with a 1-day sensitization programme for students in upper secondary schools on myths and misconceptions on Cancer. Also, the Foundation engaged principals and teachers in secondary schools in Lagos State at the maiden edition of the School Manager’s Forum, which brought together stakeholders in the Education sector to intimate them on the activities and programmes of the Foundation but more importantly, on synergies on achieving the Sustainable Development Goal 4. Finally, members of the Foundation’s Youth Centre went on a tour of the Eko Atlantic City to give them an insight into nature and kindle their interest in the exploration of the environment.
