The Foundation has acquired 3 acres of land along the Maroko – Epe Expressway adjacent to the Lagos Business School, on which it will construct an educational and cultural centre consisting of the Ovie Brume Library and Resource Centre and a permanent home for the Youth Centre.  It will also house the administrative offices for The Ovie Brume Foundation.  The project concept, which is led by Jite Brume of Mappamundi Architects in collaboration with her local and international team draws from traditional architecture and translates this to contemporary culture both in design and construction.  Imagined as a living memorial, the architecture is adapted to the local climate, taking into account the high levels of humidity and solar radiation by careful design and material specification.  The project is currently awaiting building approval from Lagos State planning...

This is an annual event held around 11th December, where young people come to a memorial celebration of Ovie Brume.
