OVIE BRUME FOUNDATION RECEIVES ACT FOUNDATION 2017 GRANT

The Ovie Brume Foundation (OBF) is one of the twenty-two recipients of the first Aspire Coronation Trust Foundation (ACT) grant. ACT Foundation is a Lagos-based philanthropic grantmaking organization established in 2016 to support local, national and regional non-profit organizations working in the areas of health, entrepreneurship, environment, and leadership. 2017 “BRIDGING THE GAP” SUMMER CAMP

The Education unit organized the summer camp in partnership with Discovery Place for pupils in her primary schools in OBF partner schools from 7th to 25th August 2017. INTERNATIONAL LITERACY DAY 2017

On Friday 8th September, 2017, Ovie Brume Foundation (OBF) joined the rest of the World to commemorate the 2017 International Literacy Day with a panel discussion on the theme “Literacy in a Digital World”. Future’s Project Kick Off

The Future’s Project, funded by the Aspire Corona Trust (ACT) Foundation kicked off in September 2017. The project aims to provide young people with practical vocational training skills integrated with financial literacy and business management skills. The skills training include, Makeup, Catering, Fashion Design, Soft Furnishing / Interior Decoration, Leather Works and Beauty & Spa. Winners from the regional rounds of the Lafarge Africa National Literacy Competition competed at the Grand Finale of the competition on Thursday, 16th November 2017. On Saturday 25th November 2017, the Ovie Brume Foundation celebrated the 2017 Global Peace Games with over 1,000 young people from 22 public primary and secondary schools.
